Who shipped the most humanoids in 2025 depends on whose count you use
Unitree's own filing puts its 2025 shipments above 5,500; Omdia counts 4,200. AgiBot leads on Omdia's numbers and trails on Unitree's.
Two published counts disagree about which company shipped the most humanoid robots in 2025. Omdia puts AgiBot (智元) first with 5,168 units and Unitree (宇树) second with 4,200. Unitree's IPO prospectus, as reported on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's news page, says its humanoid shipments exceeded 5,500 units in 2025, excluding wheeled dual-arm robots.
If both numbers are right, they are counting different things or different periods. Neither source is wrong on its own terms. The ranking changes with the source.
Every published 2025 figure for the top three
| Company | Figure | What it counts | Source | Evidence grade |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AgiBot (智元) | 5,168 | Shipments | Omdia, Jan 2026 | EST |
| Unitree (宇树) | >5,500 | Shipments, excluding wheeled dual-arm robots | IPO prospectus, as reported Aug 2026 | Filing, media-cited |
| Unitree (宇树) | 4,200 | Shipments | Omdia, Jan 2026 | EST |
| UBTech (优必选) | 1,079 | Full-size humanoids sold | 2025 annual results | E2 |
| UBTech (优必选) | 1,000 | Shipments | Omdia, Jan 2026 | EST |
Omdia puts the global 2025 total at about 13,000 units, with AgiBot holding 39%.
Why the numbers differ
- Shipments, units sold and deliveries are different events. A unit can ship to a distributor in December and be sold or delivered in January. UBTech's 1,079 counts units sold; Omdia's figures count shipments.
- Product scope differs. Unitree's filing excludes wheeled dual-arm robots. Other counts may include them, or may count research kits and full-size humanoids together.
- Analyst estimates are modelled. Omdia's per-company figures are estimates built from supply-chain and company inputs. They are useful for comparison across companies because one method is applied to all, but they are not company filings.
What this means if you are comparing makers
Use one source for any ranking, and say which. When a filing and an estimate disagree, the filing usually describes the company's own count more precisely, while the estimate is more comparable across companies. Our 2025 volumes page shows every published figure side by side with its evidence grade.
US makers have not published 2025 unit totals, so they cannot be placed on the same basis yet.
